“A Place Where Every Child Feels Seen”: Morgan’s Mission to Build a Safe, Loving Daycare
CLEVELAND, OH — Morgan has always known one thing: she wanted to make a difference in children’s lives — not just with education, but by making sure kids feel valued, loved, and safe. Today, that dream is a reality.
Morgan is the founder of a one-of-a-kind resource-based daycare center, built in the heart of Cleveland’s inner city. But step onto the campus, and you feel something different — tranquility. The outdoor space is calm and peaceful, tucked away from the noise, with gardens, play structures, and safe spaces where children can run, laugh, and just be kids. “We wanted to create a place where children could play outside freely — without fear,” Morgan said.
Her daycare isn’t just about learning and playtime — it’s about restoring dignity to families who are doing their best with limited resources. “If a child comes in with messy hair or clothes that are torn or too small, we make sure they’re cared for without anyone feeling ashamed,” she explained. “We have stylists, clean clothes, and supplies — all there to help families without judgment.”
Morgan’s vision came from her own life growing up in Cleveland. She remembered seeing kids made fun of just because of how they looked. “That always bothered me,” she said. “No kid should feel less than because of something they can’t control.”
During her time with the Cleveland Freedom Project, Morgan gained the confidence to dream big and design a plan to support young children and their families. The program helped her explore how to turn compassion into action, showing her that community care could be built into a business model — and make a lasting impact.
Now, Morgan’s daycare center is known as a place where children feel safe, cared for, and proud of who they are. It offers wraparound services that go beyond traditional childcare — including free hair care, clothing assistance, early learning, and even resources for parents who need a little extra support.
Morgan’s legacy? Creating a space where every child is seen, supported, and celebrated — in a peaceful corner of the city where they can truly grow.
“I want people to remember me as someone who made life easier for families,” she said. “Because when kids feel loved, they shine. And that’s what it’s all about.”
